It's true, resolutions without results are worthless. If you find yourself resolving to make the same changes as you did at the beginning of this year, or even more troubling..., the same changes from the year before that then your resolutions have become worthless. In fact one might even say they've become detrimental to your long term sanity and success. As Einstein once said, "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity". So, rather than sitting their nodding your head and gnashing your teeth, take this chance to make a permanent change in the way you start your New Year and reach for results.
That's right, stop reciting out dated resolutions and start putting a plan of action into affect that will give you the real results you are looking for. If you are still struggling with finding the proper motivation to propel you forward consider finding help. Get a mentor, a partner or a coach to give you the confidence and direction you need to move forward. You may even consider joining a group of people who can help motivate you through accountability and encouragement.
The best thing you can do is FOCUS on finding solutions and commit to starting each day of the New Year asking yourself what one thing can I do today to reach my goals? Once you find the answer get out, get moving and take action. Lean on the success of having taken the first step and let the momentum carry you through to victory!
How often do you find yourself claiming your good? Are you one of the many people today who can't wait to share your misfortune, discordance, or physical ailments with others. Is it any wonder our papers, TV commercials and web ads are full of prescription drug ads all designed to help us feel better. Perhaps they are only answering OUR cries of distress. What if WE decided to spend our valuable time sharing and claiming our good with each other.
Maybe its time we all took a look, or better yet, a listen to our communication and how easily we grasp on to the tragedies and dis-ease of society. Why not make the change today to share all that IS well and good in your life. Why not focus our attention on what we do want rather than bemoan the negative possibilities that may never come. I mean, have you ever said, "I think I'm starting to feel sick...." only to indeed FEEL SICK.
Let's do a little experiment - every time you hear someone say they are starting to feel sick just say that you help they feel better soon and then add (aloud or to yourself), "I'". I'd love to hear from those of you who take this challenge on, I think we'll see some amazing results.
There is a difference between planning and waiting. Waiting is akin to wishing for things to happen or change and planning is about actively making things happen or change. When we find ourselves waiting for others to give us a chance, or come to our rescue, or give us our due we are only wasting precious time.
If you are looking to make a change then get to making it by whatever means YOU have at your disposal. Perhaps someone will see your efforts and give you that hand up you've been looking for, if they don't then at least you'll be further along then if you had just sat there waiting.
As for getting what's due, well, who says anything is "due" to you? This kind of thinking is based on a foundation of lack, thinking somehow there is just so much of the "stuff" we all need and that if you don't have it someone else must be holding it back from you. The universe is a powerhouse of creation - "stuff" is getting created every moment of every day - there is always enough and even more than enough for everyone. Know this - REALLY know it - and you'll open your life to the flow of unlimited possibility.
The belief that others should or will rescue us implies that we are weak - when nothing can be further from the truth. Each of us is connected to unfathomable resources because each of us is intrinsically connected to the whole. If you have a desire for something better it is up to you to make the first move by holding a clear vision of already having it. Once you've got a crystal clear focus on the outcome you desire you are already on your way to having it become reality. Whether others appear to give you assistance or not the way to get from where you are to where you want to go will become clear one step at a time.
Don't waste anymore time waiting - plan to make a difference today.
