It never ceases to amaze me how the universe works.  Even when we think it has forgotten our dreams or passed us by on life's highway with a wink and a nod, the universe is always and forever creating the results we've planted.  It may take years before a chosen desire or dream becomes a reality but I know now, more than ever before, that our deepest desires and truest dreams will indeed come to pass in just the right way at just the right time.

It has done so for me in my dream of having a child of my own with a man I really love in  a place I feel at home.  Once told I would never have children I still kept a vigilant (though often silent) prayer of hope that just maybe they were wrong.  With a missed pregnancy early in my marriage, again I found my faith falter but ultimately rebound, somewhere inside a voice comforted me with the thought that it would happen someday.  Months and years have passed since then and while the idea of having my own child has never fully disappeared it was tucked away into the closet of "wishing for miracles" and in its place came work and life and growing a new business.

As it was often said to me, once I relaxed and stopped worrying about not having a child our miracle came, slipping in between the breath of sleeping and waking.  Today, I stand on the threshold of parenthood more ready than ever to be a mother, a wife, a coach and mentor, and ultimately a witness to the new adventures this little life brings.  To all of you still holding on to dreams that might come true, remember, time is the weapon of the universe and it knows exactly when the time is right.

Remember back in kindergarten when they had you grow the seed in the little cup?  You place the seed in the soil and you water it and soon enough a little green shoot appears.  Thoughts are seeds - when we understand this we can GROW any thought into reality... the secret is that even if we don't understand this we already GROW our thoughts into reality.

I was sharing this with a client recently - who had grown an unpleasant reality for herself.  One she was quick to blame on everyone and everything else - until I explained how her thoughts (worries and doubts) had given her just what she planted.

What we discovered was that she wasn't sure the goal (seed) she planted would actually grow and so instead of trusting the universal law of reaping and sowing she continued to dig up her seed by casting doubts and rebuffs at it as it was in the growing stages. She didn't realize that it was just under the surface and ready to shoot to the sky.

As a gardener herself she understood that any seed will die if you continue to pull it up and examine its growth.  The key then is to plant the seed, water it,  feed it, and have faith that in time it will produce the fruit you expect.

It's easy to let the troubles of yesterday cloud our judgment of today's events.  The would haves or could haves of your past may give you pause when you attempt something new or decide to follow your heart and return to something you once wanted.  It takes a real belief in yourself, in the power of an inspired thought - some might say it even takes a bit of blind faith - to brush aside the lingering doubts and see the horizon clearly.  The good news it that when we do we are able to move forward confidently and that first step of confidence may be all we need gain momentum and ultimately reach our goals.  Even the smallest grain of faith can be sufficient.  Perhaps that is because grains are seeds and even a small seed can become a huge tree and bare fruit for years after it has been planted.  There is a real, honest power, in that kind of faith a kind of power that can sustain one through the buffeting of doubts, if we let it.  The question is, will you choose to focus on the Faith or the Fear?
