It's the last day of January.  The New Year is getting older by the minute and you may find yourself wondering where has the time gone.  Perhaps you started the year off eager to tackle some major challenges, or create some new avenues of creativity and even professional success.  Yet, now as a whole month has sped quickly past, you find your faith in reaching those goals is dwindling.  If so, I urge you to reconsider your position and realize that anything worth having in one's life is worth reaching for.

You may not have succeeded yet but if you BELIEVE in yourself you will soon succeed.  Choose to participate in the process of achieving your goals, take action and most importantly - no matter the circumstances - keep the faith.  Remember, as James Allen stated in As  A Man Thinketh, "When he realizes that he is a creative power, and that he may command the hidden soil and seeds of his being out of which circumstances grow; he then becomes the rightful master of himself."

Many of the greatest teachers of our time have shared similar messages of harnessing our own power.  Encouraging us to BELIEVE that we are each endowed with the ability to do great works.  This is the premise behind The Power Plan - to actively participate in creating great works every day of our lives.  Those who get the best results understand they need to believe to succeed.

Repeat after me.... "There is  more than enough money to go around", again... "There is MORE than enough money to go around".  Now, keep repeating it until you feel it all the way down in your toes.  Having a hard time believing it?  Well, keep working at it because contrary to popular hype money is absolutely everywhere.  Just take a long walk down any city street and you'll see the roads are littered with it - only pennies you say - well that my friend is MONEY.

So, if you want some more money just take a walk and pick up every single cent you find and when you get back home you'll not only have a little post-exercise buzz but you will also have MORE MONEY than you started with.  Now this all may sound a little silly but it is no sillier than believing that you don't have ANY money.  The only real tragedy is that we are so much more willing to believe the later statement.  When we do we leave the universe no choice but to oblige and soon enough every penny we receive seems to leave us long before we've gotten a chance to get to the bank.

It is the thought behind these statements that create homeless millionaires or the richest people on the wrong side of the tracks.  In the end, as always, it is up to each of us to choose our beliefs and when we do the world rises up to prove us right.  As for me, I learned 15 years ago it's just as easy to believe "There is MORE than enough MONEY to go around" and now even easier to add "and it flows in endless waves into my life and my bank accounts" than to suffer a life wallowing in lack.  Now's your chance to do the same - go ahead - get out your mental hammer and SMASH the Money Myth!

That's right whether it appears good or bad, whatever you are experiencing right now in your life is something YOU believe you deserve.  With the power of that belief you are literally drawing to you the manifestation of things you think you deserve.

Think about your worries for example, while you may consciously deny that you deserve them, even bemoan their inevitability the only reason they persist to fill your thoughts is that subconsciously you believe yourself deserving of them.  It is as if your mind is running a tape of background (subliminal) music that repeats a chorus of "I'm not worthy, not good enough, things never work out, here comes the other shoe...." and even though you consciously desire something different these seeds of worry and doubt are slowly but surely taken root and growing into reality.

The crux of the problem may be that you are lacking a core belief in your own worthiness; not as a mother, a father, a student, a friend or brother or sister or any other title but simple as a human being.  The good news is you can consciously choose to create a sense of personal value and worth by acknowledging just how unbelievably unique and sacred you are - as it has been said, there never has been or ever will be another you.  Somehow, somewhere, every power in the universe conspired to create you.  When you find yourself doubting your own worth just take a look up at the nearest tree, or the ocean, or the night sky and realize that the same amazing source that created it also created you. That same power believed YOU deserved to be here.

The best way to counter the chorus of worry and self deprecation is to cultivate a new choir of personal appreciation and awe.  Begin today by finding one thing you like or appreciate about yourself and spend the day silently repeating this mantra, " I am thankful for my ....".  Everyday, begin again, until the number of things you are thankful for outweigh the things you used to berate yourself with and soon you'll create a solid core of self-worth and continue to get ALL THE BEST that you deserve!
